Robert Jewell was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Calgary after high school. After responding to an ad to be a dishwasher at Teatro Ristorante, he wound up in the kitchen of Chef Michael Allemeier, who trained him in cooking. Robert worked his way up and was a chef by age 25. By age 27, he was overseeing seven restaurants with The Concorde Group. He is now executive chef at Double Zero Pizza in Calgary. He loves cooking not only for his own satisfaction, but also for the satisfaction of his guests on a daily basis.
